The NIT Raipur has a computer science and engineering department for MCA degree. National Institute of Technology Raipur, was formerly known as Government Engineering College. It is situated in Raipur, Chhattisgarh and was founded in 1956.

NIT Raipur offers 12 UG and 6 PG courses including M.C.A and M.Tech. in Applied Geology.

MCA is a three-year course which is divided into six semesters. The coursework includes classroom lectures, practical and project work. The project work is the most important part of MCA program.
