National Institute of Technology in Jalandhar , popularly known as the Dr. B.R. Ambedekar .National Institute of Technology is a public engineering institute that was established in the year 1987. It is considered as one of the latest among 20 National Institutes of Technology in India and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance.

It offers undergraduate degree courses in Computer Science & engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Instrumentation & control engineering, Mechanical engineering and Information engineering. The institute also stresses on programs leading to MSc, M.Tech and PhD.


There are 7 hostels for boys and 2 for female. Medical facilities are also provided to the students and teachers in case of emergencies. It also offers separate hostel facility.
