NIPER Joint Entrance Exam is the Exam for taking admission in National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) for Master's & PhD Program Programs Offered The exam is scheduled to be held on 12th June 2016 for granting admission into the following courses: Master of Science (MS) in Pharmacy (2 years) [Dept.: Medical Chemistry, Natural Products, Traditional Medicine, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology & Toxicology; Regulatory Toxicology; Pharmaceutics; Biotechnology; Pharmacoinformatics] Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) (2 years) [Dept.: Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations); Pharmacy Practice; Clinical Research] Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Pharmacy [Dept.: Pharmaceutical Technology (Process Chemistry); Pharmaceutical Technology (Biotechnology)] Master of Business Administration (MBA) Pharmacy (2 years) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) (4 years) [Department: Medicinal Chemistry; Pharmaceutical Analysis; Pharmacology and Toxicology; Pharmaceutics; Pharmaceutical Technology (Process Chemistry)] Eligibility Criteria Candidate must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in respective discipline according to the course for which he/she wants to apply In addition, the applicant must have at least achieved 60% or 6.75 GPA (55% or 6.25 for SC/ST candidates and 50% or 5.75 GPA for PH candidates) aggregate marks in the qualifying exam The candidates are also required to possess a valid GATE or NET or GPAT score Selection Procedure Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the NIPER Joint Entrance Exam (NIPER JEE) conducted by the Institute Paper Pattern The duration of the exam will be of 2 hours; the question paper will consist of 200 multiple objective choice questions; the level of questions will be of B.Pharm & M.Sc (relevant field) Negative marking will be done for wrong answers in the written test; as much as 25% of marks will be deducted for each wrong answer |
