Re: NET exam after MA in Tamil

Yeah you are eligible for NET exam after M.A in Tamil. The National Eligibility Test (NET) to be conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC).

NET exam eligibility-

Masters Degree from UGC recognised University with 55%.

Final year of Masters programme or those whose examinations have been delayed can also apply.

PhD degree holders can also apply with relaxation of marks up to 5 per cent.

Age limit:
(i) Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years as on December 1, 2014.
(ii) Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor.

Last date of taking printout of Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admit Card from website
19th November, 2014

Last date for receiving the printout of online Application Form (one copy) and Attendance Slip (one copy) at the respective Coordinating Institution opted by the candidate (with fee receipt & category certificate(s)

UGC NET exam Pattern:-

The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on 28th Dec, 2014 (SUNDAY) in two separate sessions.

Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. 60(sixty) multiple choice questions of 2 marks each will be given, out of which you would be required to answer any 50(fifty). In the event of the candidate attempting more than 50 questions, the first 50 questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated.

Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by you. Each question will carry 2 marks.

Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by you .

Each question will carry 2 marks. All the questions of Paper–II and Paper– III will be compulsory, covering entire syllabus (including all electives, without options).
