NERIST Lateral Entry Exam

I want to appear in NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) directed by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology. I have heard that system also allows lateral entry from outside with necessary conditions. Provide the NERIST Lateral Entry Exam pattern details .

NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) II Exam is conducted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli for admisison to lateral entry in Diploma programs.

NEE II exam Eligibility-

Diploma in Engg and Tech (Technology stream) -

Eligibility-

Class 10+2 (PCM) appeared / passed

Diploma in Engg and Tech (Vocational) -

Class-10+2,(Voc) ITI/NERIST Certificate holder in AE / CE / ECE / EE / ME

B.Sc Degree in Forestry -

Class 10+2 (PCB) appeared / passed

B.Tech Degree (Technology stream) -

3 years Diploma in the relevant branch of Engg and Tech

Age limit-

Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July, 2018 are 23 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 1st August, 1994), 26 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August, 1991) and 28 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 1st August, 1989).

Exam pattern-

The NEE-II is conducted with a single question paper of 150 marks of three hours duration. The examination paper consists of either three or four sections with details given below.

Candidates, seeking admission in Diploma Module of Technology Stream, with academic qualification of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics shall have to attempt NEE-II (PCM). Question paper under this scheme consists of three sections viz. Section A, Section B and Section C.
