Nehru Museum of Science and Technology is located in the old building of IIT Kharagpur. the museum was established in this building in 1990.

Aim of the museum is to present the developments in diverse areas of science and technology through models and images.

Contents in the museum

Large number of technical models .

Fourteen open air demo experiments .

Several indoor as well as outdoor exhibits like:
A Hunter plane (donated by the IAF ),
A Steam Engine (donated by the Indian Railways ),
A Radar (donated by Indian Army)
