The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), located in Bangalore, is part of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. Our research interests range from the study of single molecules to ecology and evolution.

The tenderers shall be required to submit the bids in three envelopes in sealed cloth lined covers as below :-
Envelope 1 – Documents related to Eligibility criterion along with EMD.
Envelope 2 – Technical bid
Envelope 3 - Financial bid
a. Envelope 1 should contain the EMD in the prescribed form and the list of similar works done,
value of each work, the address of the client, Date of work order, Completion period, Actual date
of completion etc. Details of similar works under execution also are to be furnished.
b. Envelope 2 should contain Technical and commercial bid highlighting any deviation with respect.
Evaluation Criteria: - As per enclosed Annexure – 1
If any tenderer withdraws his tender after the price bid is opened within the validity - period or makes
any modifications in the terms and conditions of the tender which are not acceptable to the
Department, then the NCBS shall without prejudice to any / or other rights or remedy be at liberty to
forfeit 50% (Fifty Percent) of the earnest money absolutely.
Application for tender document not accompanied by the following is liable for rejection of issue of
tender document:-
(i) Proof of experience in execution of similar nature and magnitude of work as indicated at para
above.
(ii) Valid PAN No. of the Company/firm.
(iii) Letter of authority in case the application is through authorized person.
(iv) Cost of tender document.
