The National Medical Coding Institute (NMCI) is a subsidiary of Medical Asset Management, Inc. that provides medical coding courses to prepare you to become a certified coder.

About the institute

The NMCI currently offers the approved professional medical coding curriculum developed by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This course prepares individuals to sit for the Certified Professional Coder certification examination.

Individuals who successfully pass this exam receive the CPC or CPC-H designation.

Course Availability

NMCI has offered this course (onsite) since 1998 and is currently in the process of developing this course to be delivered virtually.
