The National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam (NLUJA) offers LLM program of one year duration. LLM Admission- NLUJAA shall strictly follow the admission criteria laid down by the CLAT. Accordingly, the admission shall exclusively be based on the performance of the candidate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Admission to the LL.M. One-Year Course- The admission shall exclusively be based on the performance of the candidate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). However, to qualify for the admission, the candidate must have passed LL.B. Three Year / Five Year Integrated Degree Examination from any university whose degree is recognized by the University Grants Commission as well as by the NLUJAA, with 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities). Intake and Reservation The total number of seats for the LL.M. Course shall be ten (30). The division of seats shall be as under: SL. No Category Seats 1 General Category / UR 23* 2 Schedule Caste of Assam (@7%) 02* 3 Schedule Tribe of Assam (Plains) (@10%) 03* 4 Schedule Tribe of Assam (Hills) (@5%) 02* Total Number of Seats 30 SAP PRA 1 8 * Out of the Seats allocated to different categories, as outlined above, 1 Seat shall be reserved for SAP and 8 Seat for PRA ( Permanent Resident of Assam) * Candidate who do not specify the Category as ST (Plains) or ST (Hills), will be considered under the Category of ST (Plains).
