National Institute of Design conducts DAT is Design Aptitude Test for admission to following courses:

Bachelor of Design (B.Des)
Masters in Design (M.Des)

Exam pattern;
NID DAT comprises of three papers, each of 60 marks.

The exam tests the students’ capabilities in creativity and various domains that include

Visual Design,
Subjects of Design,
Thematic Color Arrangement,
Environment Sensitivity,
Memory Drawing,
Proportions & Perspective,
General Mental Ability,
Drawing Skills,
Animation and
Abstract Symbolism
