NDA exam is organized by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Recruitment of applicants to Army, Navy and Air force wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA), is through National Defence Academy Entrance Exam which is held twice a year, generally in the month of March and August.

Eligibility:
Applicants who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males.
Applicants must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.

The NDA exam is carried out by the UPSC every year. This exam will be held two times in a year. The candidates who get qualified in the written exam will be called in for an SSB multiple rounds of interviews. The candidates will also have to go through a psychology test and Group task which will also be carried out by the SSB.

Applicants who have opted for the Air force will undergo a Pilot Aptitude Battery Test.
Applicants will go through physical fitness test.
Applicants are strictly selected on the basis of the merit list.

Date of notification : 21 Dec 2013
Last date of form submission : 20 January 2014
Date of NDA exam is 20th April 2014

I am 16 years old. Am I eligible to answer NDA entrance exam or not ?

Sorry to say that being 16 years old you are not eligible to answer NDA entrance exam.

Eligibility:
(a) Nationality :
Applicants must either be :
1. a citizen of India, or
2. a subject of Bhutan, or
3. a subject of Nepal, or
4. a Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India,

(b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status :
Applicants must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination.
Applicants must not marry until they complete their full training. A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application, though successful will not be selected for training.
Applicants who marries during training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the Government.

(c) Educational Qualifications :
1. For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- Applicants must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
2. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- Applicants must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Applicants who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply.

(d) Physical Standards :
Applicants must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination as per guidelines given :
(a Applicants must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/disability which is likely in interfere with the efficient performance of military duties.
(b) There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or under weight. The candidate should not be overweight or obese.
(c) The minimum acceptable height of Applicants is 157.5 cms. (162.5 cms for Air Force) F
