Re: Mumbai University CGPA Conversion

Hello Vishnu the new Credit Based Grading System (CBGS) adopted by the University of Mumbai with effect from 2012-13

Here I am providing you an image
Mumbai University CGPA Conversion

According to this system a person getting 60 marks and another person getting 69 marks will get the same pointer where the difference in marks is 9. Whereas a person getting 69 marks will have a lower pointer than the person scoring 70 even if the difference in their marks is just 1.

This leads to two things:

1Your CGPI does not correspond to marks obtained.
2) A person scoring fewer marks than you in total can have a pointer higher than you.

University of Mumbai established in 1857, was earlier known as University of Bombay, is one of the oldest and premier universities in India. As a sequel to the change in the name of the city from Bombay to Mumbai, the name of the University has been changed from University of Bombay to University of Mumbai
