You should appear in GATE to get admission in MS in India.
GATE qualification as mandatory for admission of students to postgraduate programmes in India.

GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technologys in India on behalf of the National Coordination Board GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
