MMU was rated tier 5 (Excellent) in the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education in 2010 and 2011

In 2010 MMU was ranked 368 in Asia, and No. 6 in Malaysia
MMU is in 191-200 ranking in the Top 200 Asian University Rankings in 2012.
