Re: Minimum Percentage Required For IIT JEE

As you want to apply for the IIT JEE the requirement provide below:

IIT JEE Advanced 2016 Eligibility

Candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics in their Class 12

They should have studied at least one out of the below as optional subjects: Chemistry,
Biology, Computer Science and Bio-technology

They should have scored total 50% marks (minimum) in all subjects.

Other Eligibility

Candidates who wish to write JEE (Advanced) - 2016 must write Paper - I of JEE (Main) - 2016 in the month of May 2016.

Only top 2,00,000 candidates (including all categories) who qualify in Paper - I of JEE (Main) – 2016 will be eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) - 2016.

The following procedure will be used for selecting the 2,00,000 candidates

Number of Attempt:

A candidate may attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in successive years. Therefore, candidates who appeared in JEE (Advanced) 2015 for the first time are also eligible.

Age Limit

Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1991.
Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1986.
