Re: Metro Rail Boon Or Bane
According to me the Metro is Boon for the Modern India. When you enter in any city of India you will see a large traffic on roads and you will also face a polluted air. After taking this in mind the Indian Government have started the Metro. Their motive is that the people must not travel through vehicles and the Metro will be available as there means of transport. This will cost the people less than the petrol costs to then. The Metro project is also being starting in the cities where there is no Metro transportation available. The cost - to the government and private investors - varies from city to city. Mumbai's system costs around 240 billion rupees, while Kochi's costs around 50 billion rupees, said Mr Singh. However, not everyone is so sure that this headlong rush to metro rail is the answer. Only Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune currently have city suburban rail systems. But the project is being carried out to make all the cities a metro city. So according to me the Metro System is the Boon for India not the Bane. |
