The Maharshi Dayanand University, was established by an Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1976. the University is established with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary higher education and research in the fields of environmental, ecological and life sciences

The admission of students to the programmes offered by the Directorate of Distance Education of the University is made once in a year as per the schedule notified:

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.): 3-Years [Part-I, II & III]
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.): 3-Years [Part-I, II & III]
Bachelor of Library and Information Science: 1-Year
Master of Arts in (Previous and Final) (1) Hindi, (2) English, (3) Sanskrit, (4) Political Science, (5) Public Administration, (6) Economics, (7) History
Master of Science in Mathematics: 2-Years (Previous and Final)
Master of Commerce (M.Com.): 2-Years (Previous and Final)
Master of Library and Information Science: 1-Year (Previous and Final)

Important Dates:


For Last Date of Generation of Bank Challan:
Without Late Fee: 4th week of August 2018
With late Fee Rs.500/-: 4th week of October 2018
With late Fee Rs.1000/-: 4th week of December 2018

For Last Date of Submission of Challan in Axis Bank:
Without Late Fee: 1st week of September 2018
With late Fee Rs.500/-: 1st week of November 2018
With late Fee Rs.1000/-: 1st week of January 2019

For Last Date of Submission of Print Copy of form and a Copy of Bank Challan in DDE Office:
Without Late Fee: 2nd week of September 2018
With late Fee Rs.500/-: 2nd week of November 2018
With late Fee Rs.1000/-: 2nd week of January 2019
