Maharashtra Public Service Commission conduct Maharashtra State Medical Services Examination, here is the details….

Eligibility criteria:
Candidate’s age must be minimum 19 years of age on or before 1st April of the year in which you are going to appear for examination.
The maximum age limit for open category candidates is 33 years.
Candidate’s have a relaxation of five years in case of candidates from reserved category.
For handicapped candidates the maximum age limit is 45 years.
Candidates must have appropriate knowledge of Marathi.
Candidate must be a graduate.

The examination is conducted in following three stages:

i) Preliminary Examination
ii) Main/ Written Examination
iii) Interview/ Personality test

The Scheme of the exam for the different stages is:

Preliminary Examination:

Arts / Social Sciences 30 marks
Intelligence Test 50 marks
Current Affairs 30 marks
Science and Technology 30 marks
Commerce and Economics 30 marks
Agriculture 30 marks

Total 200 marks

MAINS EXAM
1) Marathi (compulsory) 200 marks
2) English (compulsory) 200 marks
3) General Studies Paper I 200 marks
4) General Studies Paper II 200 marks
5) Optional Subject I : 400 marks
6) Optional Subject II: 400 marks

Total : 1600
