Law College Entrance Exam
I want to take Sri Lanka Law College entrance exam in 2012 but I don’t have information about the date and eligibility criteria. So please give me the info ration along with the other information.

Sri Lanka Law College has not announced the date of the Entrance examination 2012 but according to the last year the exam can be conducted in the month of August 2012. Eligibility: for applying for the exam, you must have passed Intermediate Examination in any stream like Arts, Science, Law, Economics or Engineering from the University of London or the 12th Examination in Public and Business Administration from the Vidyodaya University of Sri Lanka or must have done Diploma in Public Management (USJP) or Diploma in Commerce / Accountancy. Age Limit: candidates’ age must not be more than 35 years in the year of admissions. Information about the entrance Examination: Candidates have to answer a paper "Background to the Law". Candidates can choose any of the following languages in which they want to answer the paper. Sinhala, Tamil English The duration of the paper is two hours. Syllabus of the paper "Background to the Law": Nature of Law - role and function of law in society. Sources of Law - evaluation of the Legal system of Sri Lanka. Constitution - a general knowledge of the main features of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the powers and functions of the Legislature, Executive and the Judiciary, Current social - legal issues - including functions, training and skills required of a lawyer. |

syllabus of BA-1
Would you kindly oblige us to apprise the names of the text books and syllabus of subjects: English (Compulsory), Punjabi (Compulsory), Psychology, Public Administration and Sociology, please, so that we may purchase books and start our study.
