Karnataka Common Entrance Test or KCET is a state level examination, which is conducted by Karnataka Exam Authority every year to fill UG Engineering seats in the Colleges/Universities of Karnataka.

KCET Eligibility Criteria

-Candidates should be a citizen of India.

-Engineering Course

-The core subjects of the candidate in qualifying examination will be Physics, Mathematics and English, along Chemistry / Bio-Technology /

-Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects.

-In the qualifying exam, a candidate must have secured a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-I/OBC)


Exam Pattern

-There will be three papers of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology, under KCET

-Each paper will carry 60 questions.

-All the questions will be Multiple Choice Type.

-For each correct answer, one mark will be allocated to the candidates and no negative marking will be done.

-Applicants will have to give Kannada language exam as well. This exam will be of 50 marks and candidates will have to score at least 12 marks to pass this exam.
