Hello sir I want to take admission in Kannur University for MPhil Programme so will you please tell me what is the eligibility criteria for this Program???

Kannur University was established in 1996 to provide development of higher education in Kasaragod, Kannur, and Wayanad districts of Kerala, India.

It was established after the passing of Act No. 22 of 1996 of the Kerala Legislative Assembly


M.Phil Programme

Duration: 1 year comprising two semesters

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the program shall be required to have obtained a master degree in English of this university or any other Indian or foreign university recognized by Kannur University as equivalent thereto
Candidates seeking admission shall have secured at least 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination
Relaxation:
5% marks for candidates belonging to other socially and economically backward communities


Admission Procedure

The rank list for admission to the course shall be based on the index marks calculated as per the following criteria

a) Qualifying Examination - 50 weightage

b) Entrance Test - 40 Weightage

c) Interview - 10 Weightage

Total - 100 Weightage
