For Joining Merchant Navy Required Qualification

I have completed my 12th class and diploma in Mechanical Fitter, am I eligible for Joining Merchant Navy or not ?

Yes you are eligible for joining Merchant Navy, because you have completed your 12th class and diploma in Mechanical Fitter.

Eligibility for Merchant Navy:
A candidate who has 10th as seafarer after qualifying pre sea courses is eligible for this.

A candidate who has 12th pass certificate with these subjects physics, chemistry and mathematics is also eligible.

Age Limit :
16-25 Years

Medical Standards:
Applicants must be physically and Mentally strong, fit for sea-services.

Eye-Sight :
6/6 without glasses, No color Blindness.

For joining Merchant Navy candidate can do these courses:
3 month Pre-Sea Course in Deck rating.

3 month Pre-Sea Course in Engine rating.

4 month Pre-Sea Course in Saloon rating.

Merchant Navy entrance exam:
The All India Merchant Navy Entrance Test (AIMNET) is conducted by Bharat Shipping Limited.
