Jodhpur National University (JNU) is a state private university under Rajasthan state government private university act by state government. It is recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956.

Jodhpur National University (JNU) is affiliated to University Grants Commission (UGC), AIU (Association of Indian Universities), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), BCI (Bar Council of India) and DCI (Dental Council of India).

The University will emphasize skill and attitudes as much as knowledge of developing indigenous learner centric pedagogic technologies and adopting practices from elite institutions.
