Re: IT jobs or Ph.D after MCA
Both MS and Ph.D are good options after you complete MCA. It depends on your interests and towards what you are inclined. If you are interested in research you can choose to pursue a Ph.D or if you are looking for job opportunities you can get then as well or you can even pursue an MS degree. Post Graduate degree programs offered by most universities require an upper second class honors degree. However, it may vary from country to country. If you are certain about pursuing Jobs you will find the list of opportunities with most of the IT firms like Infosys, Polaris, Tech Mahindra, Satyam Computers, TCS and many more The profiles you would be employed in these companies would be: • Application Integration Specialist • Application Packager • Application Support Analyst • Business Process Analyst • Business Systems Analyst • eBusiness Specialist • Java Developer • Multimedia Developer • Open Source Software (OSS) Architect • Product Owner • Programmer Analyst • Quality Assurance Manager • Software Developer • Software Engineer • Systems Analyst • Systems Architect And if your inclination persists you to go for research then you can definitely pursue it and go for a PhD. With your PhD in Information Technology Management you'll be able to learn to synthesize multidisciplinary research and evolving practices to contribute to organizational strategies and to lead strategic IT planning and management in complex environments, including diverse organizational and global cultural contexts. You'll also be able evaluate ethical frameworks, including the organization's global citizenship, and legal requirements that guide Information Technology Management.
