Eligibility for JNU Entrance Test

PhD:

Candidates must have M.Phil degree from a recognized university or research institution with minimum Final Grade Point Average (FGPA) of 6.0 out of 10.

M.SC:

Candidates must have Bachelors degree in any branch of basic or applied science under 10+2+3 pattern of education with minimum 55 % marks.

MCA:

Candidates must have Bachelors degree in any discipline with sufficient competence in Mathematics under 10+2+3 pattern of education with a minimum aggregate of 55 percent marks.

M.Tech:

Candidates must have B.tech/B.E degree in relevant branch of engineering.
or
Candidates have Masters Degree in any branch of science including biological, chemical, mathematical, physical, computer science or MCA.

MA:

Candidates must have Bachelors degree in relevant subject or any other subject under 10+2+3 pattern of education with minimum 55 % marks.

JNU Entrance Test Syllabus Paper Pattern:

PhD: The PhD entrance test for applicants appearing for JNU 2014 is intended to evaluate the awareness of a candidate in the particular specialization. The written test will consist of namely analytical and critical appraisal type questions.

M.SC: Applicants will be tested for knowledge of broad areas of physics,physical chemistry and mathematics of B.Sc level. The test will consist of objective type questions.

MCA: Questions will be of objective type questions and will consist of question in Computer application and information technology.

M.Tech: All questions will be of multiple choice types. The question paper will be divided into two parts. The first part will consist of questions in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology and the second part will consist of questions in following specialization of Biology and Bioinformatics,Chemistry,Physics,Mathematics/ Statistics,Engineering Sciences.

M.A: Candidates will be examined on the subjects and specialization in the standard B.A course.
