JIPMER MBBS NRI quota
My friend is coming to India to do MBBS. I have suggested him for the JIPMER. What are the admission requirements to apply for the JIPMER MBBS course as an NRI quota student? Please also share the admission notification for NRI quota student?

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) admits 200 students to the MBBS course once every year through an all-India entrance examination. Some seats are reserved for Puducherry natives and Central Government nominations. There are no seats available through AIPMT/NEET or AIIMS. The entrance examination is held once a year in June in Pondicherry, Chennai, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram and other metropolitan cities for admission to the MBBS course that begins in July of the same year. Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years old. There is no upper age limit. Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from any recognized board. Candidates who are appearing for Class 12 or equivalent exam can also appear for the exam. Subjects in Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English in Class 12. Percentage in Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually. The aggregate marks of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology should be 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC/OPH candidates and 45% for General-OPH candidates). |
