ISAT Learning Standards

What is concept of Learning Standards in ISAT , can you here explain as my friends want to know about it as their child going to appear in ISAT so can you give me information on Early Learning Standards

ISAT stand for Illinois Standards Achievement Test that measures the achievement of students in reading and mathematics in grades three through eight and science in grades four and seven and Illinois Learning Standards define what all students in all Illinois public schools should know and be able to do in the seven core areas as a result of their elementary and secondary schooling.

Illinois State Board of Education adopted new learning standards for Math and English Language Arts. The Board adopted new standards for Science on February 27, 2014 and the purpose of these new, more rigorous standards is to better prepare students for college and the workforce. Prior to the Board's actions the Illinois Learning Standards had not changed since their adoption in 1997.
