Union public service commission conducts the IPS Exam every year.

Qualifications:
The applicant must hold a Degree of any of the recognized University/ Institution.

Age Limitation:
Candidate’s age should be in the range of 21 to 32 years as on the last date of notification.

Relaxation in age will be applicable for ST/SC contenders up to 5 years and OBS contenders up to 3 years.

Selection Process
Selection of the candidates will be based on written exam & interview.

No. of Attempts
GEN: 4 times
OBCs: 7 times
SC/ST: No limit

Pattern:-
Civil Services (Preliminary) Examinations (Objective Type) for the selection of candidates for Main Examination; and

Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts
