Can you tell me what eligibility required is to join Indian Army as a soldier as I have cleared 10th class?

Soldier is the primary fighting force of all the armies in the world which are known as Ground Troop or Sepoy or Rifle Man in the Indian army. Essential qualification and age and other factors for becoming a soldier in army varies from Non-metric to Metric with some time asking for math, science and English as main subjects. It depends upon the type of job being assigned to the Soldier. Soldier General Duty SSLC/Matric 17 ½ - 21 Years Soldier Technical SSLC/Matric 45% aggregate 17 ½ -23 Years Soldier Clerk SSLC/Matric 50% aggregate with 45% in individuals. 17 ½ -23 Years Soldier Nursing Assistant SSLC/Matric(Maths, English & Biology ) 17 ½ -23 Years Soldier Tradesmen (All Arms) 10th/ITI (except Syce. Mess Keeper and House Keeper-who may be 8th pass). 17 ½ - 23 Yrs Soldier General Duty (Matric Simple Pass) (All Arms) 10th Simple pass. 17 ½ - 23 Yrs For other details about the Army Soldier Qualification I am uploading a file that you can download for free: Selection Procedure: Eligible candidates will be required for a written test in (i) General Intelligence (ii) Mathematical Aptitude (iii) General Knowledge Questions in these tests are Objective Type and bilingual, i.e., in Hindi and English. Time allowed is 45 minutes and maximum marks are 100. Only those found fit are put through Aptitude Test and Interview. Final selection is on Merit. Army Soldier Salary/ Pay Scale Initial Pay of an Army soldier is about Rs.4000 to Rs.7000 depending upon the category to which he belongs.
