Here you are looking for eligibility criteria of Indian Army, as you want here I am providing you.

It is great chance to you to serve for your own country, if you have the caliber you must join the Indian Army.

Indian Army was founded in 1947 in India.



There is some selection procedure such as:

CDS Exam is generally conducted 2 time in one year by the UPSC to recruit the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

According to the Eligibility Criteria:

For IMA and OTA candidates must have any degree from any recognized University.

For Naval Academy candidates must have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering (BE).

For AFA candidates must have the degree of recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering(BE)

Age Limit:

For IMA: 19-24 Years

For OTA: 19-23 Years

For Naval Academy: 19-22 Years

For AFA: 19-25 Years

Selection process

• Written Test

• Intelligence & Personality test

• Medical test

Exam Pattern

Written Test:

For IMA / Naval Academy / AFA

All the three papers are of MCQ type containing

• English
• General Knowledge
• Elementary Mathematics

Total 300 marks each paper 100 marks.

For OTA

All the two papers are of MCQ type containing

• English
• General Knowledge

Total 200 marks each paper of 100 marks.


Intelligence & Personality test:

Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate, GD, group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. Etc...

Medical test:

After getting selected in interview, the candidates are called for medical examination which is conducted by Military Hospitals.

Pre-Commission training after getting final selected the candidates are called for Training.

As per your request, I am going to tell you about the eligibility criteria to join an Indian Army for various post. Have a look on following details.

Soldier (General Duty) – All Arms:

Age Criteria: 17.5 to 21 years.

Education:

Applicant need to pass SSLC/matriculation with a at lest of 45% marks in aggregate and 32% in each subjects.

Soldier (Technical) – Technical Arms:

Age: 17.5 to 23 years.

Education:

Applicant need to pass 10+2 with science discipline with English, mathematics, chemistry and physics subjects and applicant should have 50% of aggregate marks and 40% in every paper.

Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical – All Arms:

Age Criteria: 17.5-23 years

Education:

Applicant should have pass higher secondary or intermediate examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Applicant need to have mathematics or accounts or book keeping and English subject in class 10 or 12th with 40% marks in every paper.

Soldier Nursing Assistant (Army Medical Corps):

Age: 17.5-23 years.

Education:

Applicant need to pass 10+2 with English, biology, chemistry and physics and should have at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Soldier Tradesmen (All Arms):
Age Criteria: 17.5-23 years

Education:

Applicant need to pass 10th or ITI except Mess keeper and house keeper.

Soldier General Duty (All Arms):

Age Criteria: 17.5-21 years

Education:

Applicant need to pass 10th.

Surveyor Auto Carto (Engineers):

Age Criteria: 20 to 25 years

Education:

Applicant needs to hold the Bachelor of Arts/Science with mathematics is eligible to apply for Indian Army.

Junior Commissioned Officer – Religious Teacher (All Arms):

Age Criteria: 27 to 24 years

Education:
Graduates in any discipline

Junior Commissioned Officer Catering (Army Service Corps):

Age Criteria: 21 to 27 years

Education:

Applicant with diploma or certificate course with duration of 1 year or more in catering Technology, hotel/cookery management or Food Craft from an institution recognized by AICTE

Havildar Education (Army Education Corps):

Age: 20 to 25 years

Applicant need to pass MCA/M. Sc/MA or B. Sc/BCA/BA in Information technology with B. Ed.
