IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance was officially established in January 2005 as a centre of excellence for education and research in Islamic banking and finance with the aim of educating as well as producing competent graduates and scholars knowledgeable in Shariah and related modern disciplines pertaining to the fields of law, economics, finance, management, accounting and information technology. Master of Science in Islamic Banking and Finance (MIBF) programme is imbued with high ethical values, rigorous scholarship as well as practical relevance. In tandem with the research activities, the faculty members act as consultants and shariah advisors to financial institutions, industry and governments worldwide and hence, keeping the programmes abreast with real world issues. Programme Objectives 1. To create scholars of international standing in Islamic Banking and Finance. 2. To supplementary develop and enhance the theory and practice of Islamic Banking and Finance. 3. To assemble the demand for experts in Islamic Banking and Finance industry in Malaysia and worldwide.
