Re: IIT Madras Convert CGPA to Percentage
Here I am giving you information about procedure to convert Cumulative Grade Point Average into percentage as per Indian institute of technology madras .: Conversion from CGPA to Percentage : As per IITM norms, all CGPAs are converted to Percentages as follows. If the CGPA is X out of 10, then the corresponding percentage is (X-0.75) 100. CGPAs in scales other than 10, will be linearly scaled to 10 before applying the above conversion formula. UG stands for the UG percentage marks (see notes below), GS stands for Gate Score Weighted Score(WS) is calculated as 50% of UG percentage marks + 50% of PG percentage marks. Formula: App Type Category Criterion Full-Time General (WS >= 75) OBC/SC/ST or PD (WS >= 70) Part-Time General (WS >= 75) OBC/SC/ST or PD (WS >= 70) contact details : IIT Madras Delhi Avenue, Indian Institute Of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600036 044 2257 8280 [MAP]https://maps.google.co.in/maps?q=iit+madras&hl=en-IN&ll=12.993309,80.236845&spn=0.011144,0.020363&gb v=2&fb=1&gl=in&cid=5895273835573111053&t=m&z=16&iw loc=A[/MAP] |

Re: IIT Madras Convert CGPA to Percentage
This is very ambiguous and vague information from one of the India's premium institute. Look below and decide for yourself what has to be followed!! One year formula was given in the above comment which was true then, but the next year it was changed as below. Notes Conversion from CGPA to Percentage : As per IITM norms, all CGPAs are converted to Percentages as follows. If the CGPA is X out of 10, then the corresponding percentage is (X-0.5)*100. CGPAs in scales other than 10, will be linearly scaled to 10 before applying the above conversion formula. cse.iitm.ac.in/admissions/dec14-phd-criteria.php |
