IIT JEE Main exam for admission for B.E/B.Tech incuding IIT and NIT.
JEE Main exam will be taken and thenafter shortlisted aspirants will be qualifying for the JEE Advanced exam . IIT JEE main exam is enough for the admission to NIT
JEE advanced exam will be considered for the admission to Indian Institute of Technology.

Important Dates:
Starting of Application forms available from :- 15th November 2013
last date of submission of forms :- 16th December 2013 to 1st week of January 2014
IIT JEE Main exam dates - 06.04.2014
IIT JEE Mains exam Results Date:- May 3rd, 2014
IIT JEE Advanced exam - 25.05.2014

Selection Procedure
About 14 to 16 lakh applicants are expected to apply for JEE Advanced 2014.
First, these students will apply for JEE Main 2014 – the last date of which was January 6, 2014.

Candidates will sit for pen-and-paper-based JEE Main exam on April 6 or online JEE Main exam on April 9, 11, 12 or 16, 2014.

JEE Main Rank List will be prepared by giving 60% weightage to JEE scores and 40% weightage to Class 12 board marks.

Overall, Top 1, 50,000 students will be eligible to sit for the JEE Advanced exam. These Top 1, 50,000 students will include:

50.5% or about 75,750 applicants from the CML .

27% or about 40,500 candidates from the OBC-NCL Merit List.

15% or about 22,500 students from the SC Merit List.

7.5% or about 11,250 aspirants from the ST Merit List.
