The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is a public institution established by the Government of India.

The IIT Guwahati is located in Guwahati, in the state of Assam in India. It is the sixth Indian Institute of Technology established in India.

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is conducting Joint Admission Test for M.Sc admission.

Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is an all-India online entrance exam conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) each year on a rotational basis on behalf of Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

IIT JAM exam is conducted in seven Science subjects (also referred to as test papers) in order to provide admission to candidates in MSc and other post-bachelor courses offered at IITs and integrated PhD courses offered at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.


Education:
Candidates should hold a bachelors degree with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates).
