IIT Guwahati offered Admission into M. Tech/ M. Des and Master of Technology (M. Tech) Programme in Theoretical Computer Science

The Departments in which these programmes will be offered are:

Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering
Dept. of Electronics & Electrical Engineering
Dept. of Mechanical Engineering
Dept. of Civil Engineering
Dept. of Chemical Engineering
Dept. of Biosciences and Bioengineering
Dept. of Design (MDes programme)

Eligibility Criteria :

For M. Tech programme:

Minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks or First Class in the qualifying degree, fulfilling specific requirements for different disciplines,

All regular category candidates (except those having B. Tech degrees from an IIT with a minimum CPI of 7.0) must possess a valid score of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

M. Des Programme :

Minimum CPI of 6.0 or 55% of marks in the qualifying degree/diploma

4-year Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in Design, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or a Design related field. Or

4-year Professional Diploma in Design of NID or Professional Diploma of CEPT (5-year programme)

Selection Procedure :

Institute reserves the right to call a limited number of candidates for written test/interview/counseling, if required, based on performance in GATE/CEED, grades/marks in the qualifying examination, etc
