Indian Institute of Technology Madras does not offer any part time courses , however the lists of the academic programmes conducted by IIT, Madras are mentioned below.

1. B.Tech (Duration: 4 Years) Admission thro’ JE
Eligibility Criteria: 60% (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PD) marks in aggregate in board examination and JEE(Main) & JEE (Advanced).

Eligibility Criteria: Final examination of the 10+2 system in Science, Arts, Commerce with atleast 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) and HSEE score.

4. M.Tech: Duration – 2 Years (4 semesters) Admission thro’ GATE
Eligibility Criteria:
• Regular: B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch. or M.Sc (Chemistry/Life Sciences/Mathematics/Physics) or Associate Membership holders with 60% marks and with GATE Score. IIT B.Tech graduates having 8.0 and above CGPA (7.5 for SC/ST) can apply without GATE.
• Sponsored: B.E/B.Tech first class or 60% aggregate marks in all the four years or AMIE or any other Associate membership (no need for having GATE score) and Sponsored by industry/government organizations/private and public enterprises recognized by DST engaged in R&D work/engineering colleges recognized by AICTE, with two years of professional experience.
• Quality Improvement Programme (QIP): Selection is made through a test/interview.
• Defence (R&T, PGT): Sponsored by Defence Authority.
