IIT JEE Main exam is one of the important exam for admission for B.E/B.Tech is different institutions in India including IIT and NIT.
First the JEE Main exam will be taken and then the students who are ranked well in the main exam will be qualifying for the JEE Advanced exam .

The IIT JEE main exam is for the admission to the National Institute of Technology (NIT)
Only the JEE advanced exam will be for the admission to Indian Institute of Technology.

They are offline mode and online exam.

Eligibility:
General and OBC aspirants securing at least 60% marks and SC/ST candidate securing 55% marks in 12th can apply for IIT-JEE exam.

Selection Procedure:
Selection on the basis of All India Ranks calculated with the JEE main 2014 Scores and normalized marks of Class XII in the ratio 60:40
