World Space Week is an international annual celebration of space science and technology organized during the week of 04-10 October.

WSW at VSSC Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre has been actively organising World Space Week celebrations from 2001 onwards, along with other ISRO centres/units in Thiruvananthapuram

Events and competitions over the years have included:
* Workshops for students & teachers
* Lecture programmes at schools and colleges all over Kerala
* Open house at Space Museum at VSSC
* Special rocket launches
* Special TV programmes
* All Kerala Essay writing competition
* All Kerala Inter-School quiz competition
* All Kerala Painting competition
* World Space Week celebrations at schools all over Kerala
* Water rocket launching competition
* Mars habitat design competition
