The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is a leading graduate school of management in Asia. Under the IIM Act of 2017, IIMB is an Institute of National Importance.
Founded in 1973, it was the third IIM to be established, after IIM Calcutta and IIM Ahmedabad.

It has obtained the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation, introduced by the European Foundation for Management Education (EFMD). In December 2016, it was re-accredited by EQUIS for a further period of 5 years.

IIM Bangalore offers degree-granting programmes and a certificate programme, Executive Education Programmes and specialised courses in areas such as entrepreneurship and public policy.
