As you are looking for info about Financial inclusion which is delivery of banking services at an affordable cost to the vast sections of disadvantaged and low income groups. Unrestrained access to public goods and services is the sine qua non of an open and efficient society.

Here I want to tell you that Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), which is a premier institute offering professional education , is actively involved in the field of financial inclusion and has taken a number of steps to meet the national objective of financial inclusion are as follows :

1. Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), published in November 2006 a book titled ‘Readings in financial inclusion’ probably one of the earliest books on the subject, detailing the scope and challenges of financial Inclusion in the country.

2. Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), has organized Seminars, (free of participation fee) on "Financial Inclusion” for bankers and others, at Kolkata, Pune, Irinjalakkuda (Kerala), Agartala, Patna, Dharwad, Shimla, Jaipur, Ahmedabad & Manipal. Each of the Seminars was attended, on an average, by 100 persons.

3. In the recently published customer service and banking codes and standards book leading to a customer service certification a chapter is devoted to financial inclusion.

4. Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), uses its portal to reach out to its members and others on the issue of financial literacy/financial inclusion. The portal contains
