Here I am giving you details to apply for IES exam after completing B. Tech in Electronics Engineering.

Indian Engineering Services (IES) Entrance Exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every years and it is 3 day long process. Candidates are selected for IES is to manage a large segment of Public sector economy which comprises of Railroads, Public works, Power, Telecommunications etc.

Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering (Group A & B Services/ Posts):

(i) Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers
(ii) Indian Railway Stores Service
(iii) Indian Ordnance Factories Service
(iv) Indian Naval Armament Service
(v) Assistant Executive Engineer (in Ministry of Defence)
(vi) Engineer in Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation
(vii) Assistant Naval Stores officer (in Indian Navy)
(viii) Survey of India Service

Selection procedure:
Written examination
Personality or Personal Interview

Eligibility criteria:

A) Nationality:
The candidates applying for IES 2014 must either be an Indian Citizen or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
A Tibetan refugee who made India is his/her permanent base before January 1st, 1962.
A person or candidate of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Vietnam, and Ethiopia etc

B) Age Limit:
Minimum age: 21 years
Maximum age: 30 years

C) Educational qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in Engineering from a recognized university

D) Physical Standards:
You must be physically and mentally fit as per the physical standards laid by UPSC.
