IES exam after B.Tech

I am pursuing B.Tech degree and want to apply for IES Exam so please tell me that in which year I can appear for it?

IES is Indian Engineering Service exam. It is conducted by UPSC every year.

You can apply for IES exam in final year of B.Tech.

Eligibility for IES exam:
Candidate must have completed Bachelor Degree in Engineering that is B.E/B.Tech in any of the branch given below:
1. Civil Engineering
2. Electrical Engineering
3. Mechanical Engineering
4. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

Candidate who are in their final year of BE/B.Tech can also apply for the exam.

Age limit:
Age of candidate should be between 21 to 30 years

For OBC Category: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST Category: 21 to 35 years

No. of Attempt:
General Candidate student can apply 4 Times
OBC Category student can 7 Times
SC/ST category student have No attempt Limit.
