IDTA Exam Wear

Hi I am about to give the IDTA exam so want to know that is there any sepecial clothes that I need to wear for the exam???

Well the IDTA is a leading dance qualifications body and membership association for professional dance teachers, with over 7000 members in over 55 countries

No, applicants should wear appropriate clothing and shoes as detailed in the examination syllabus.

The dance school Principal may select the style and colour of class-wear and examination-wear for the pupils and students.

International Dance Supplies (IDS) offer a range of IDTA recommended examination-wear, but this is entirely optional. Find out more here.


IDTA examinations are both oral and performance based and are conducted by a board of IDTA qualified examiners.

IDTA examiners must be qualified at Fellowship level in their chosen branch and complete a rigorous application, interview, training and assessment process.

Examiners must attend upgrading courses plus annual standardisation and training courses
