The ICMR JRF entrance exam will be conducted only once in a year in the month of July. The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exam is recognized in life Science/Social Science by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi.

This exam is also linked with the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.

A national level entrance examination is started by the institutes will be held at different examination centers.

Centers for this exams such as Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bhubaneshwar, Srinagar Guwahati.
