The Institute of Banking Personnal Selection every year conducts recruitment of Probationary Officer for Public Sector Banks.

The IBPS had announced various vacancies to the post of Probationary Officers in 20 participating banks.

Selection of candidates under IBPS PO is done in three stages – Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Interview.

Allotment under IBPS PO will be made on the merit-cum-preference basis.

The recruitment process of IBPS PO 2016 is nearing an end.
The Online Preliminary Examination of IBPS PO was conducted from October 1 to 27, 2016.
The result of the Prelims Exam was declared on November 4, 2016.

Age Limit:
Age should not be less than 20 years and not more than 30 years old.
Age relaxation is applicable upto 5 years for SC/ST,
3 years for OBC
10 years for PwD
5 years for Ex-servicemen

The relaxation in the age for the different categories is as follow.

ST/SC – 5 years
OBC – 3 years
PwD – 10 years
Ex-Serviceman – 5 years
