Re: IBPS PO Essay Writing
For IBPS PO exam the two important topics of the Descriptive Section are as following – 1. Essay Writing 2. Letter Writing Some Important topics for Essay writing • Women empowerment in India • Do you think RTI can remove corruption ? If yes then why there were huge scams in past few years ? • Do you think decentralization is better than centralization ? If yes then explain how. • Do you think political parties have a role in communal riots ? If yes then explain how it can controlled ? • Do you support reservation in education and government jobs ? Explain with your opinion. • What would be the impact of Multi-brand retail on Indian economy ? • What are direct and indirect benefits of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to companies ? • How affordable and quality education can help nation building ? • Why profit ratio in private banks is higher than public sector banks ? • What is the role sports activities on economy of a country ? • Women Entrepreneurs in India • Media and Public Opinion in Contemporary World • Online Education in India • Honesty is the Best Policy Things to Remember It is important that one stick to the word limit. Generally one is supposed to write the essay within a limit of 350-400 words. One should neither write less, nor exceed the word limit. One is also marked in the exam for being precise. One must ensure that one’s content does not seem repetitive. Recurrence of words/sentences or content as a whole invites cutting of marks. Try and use synonyms if you see that a word is getting repeated a number of times in the essay. The essay must have a flow of argument. It means that introduction of the essay should effortlessly lead to the body, which should lead to the conclusion. Disjointed arguments or breaks arise when one is trying to say too many things in a hap-hazard way. It is a good idea to ensure that the conclusion of the essay satisfies the question asked through the topic of the essay which implies that if in case the topic of the essay states a problem (like “increasing rate of poverty in India”), then the conclusion of essay must give at least one solution or reason that has been resolute through the body of the essay. |
