The Indian Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is the organization for recruiting candidates in the vacant positions of Management Trainee/ Specialist Officers/ Probationary Officers/ Clerks in all public sector banks except State Bank of India and RRB (Regional Rural Banks) of India.

IBPS Recruitment Exam:

The IBPS Recruitment Exam is organized for the following exams:

1. IBPS Clerks Recruitment Common Written Exam

2. IBPS Probationary Officers Common Written Exam

3. IBPS Specialist Officer Common Written Exam

4. IBPS Regional Rural Banks Common Written Exam

Eligibility for concerned exams:

Clerk Post:

Degree in graduation from any recognized university or anything equivalent thereto along with a good knowledge of Computers including a Diploma/ Degree in Computer Applications/ Languages

Probationary Officers/Management Trainee:
Degree in graduation from any recognized university/ college along with a Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in Computer Operations/ Languages/ Information Technology as a subject at any level of education as required for this purpose

Specialist Officer:
Degree in Graduation (B.Tech/ B.E./BCA in IT & Computer Applications) for IT Officers,

Degree in Agriculture/ Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Sciences/ Dairy Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture for Agriculture Field Officer,

PG Degree in Hindi with English as a subject or PG Degree in Sanskrit with Hindi/ English as the subjects, Graduate Degree in Law for Law Officers,

Graduate or PG Degree or Diploma in HR/ PMIR/ IR/ Social Work, Graduate or PG or PGDM in Management for Marketing Officers,

Engineering Degree in Computer Sciences/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Telecommunications for IT Officer Scale II,

CA for Chartered Accountants and CFA/ ICWA/ MBA/ PGDBM (Finance) for Manager Credit / Finance Executive Scale II.

RRB Posts:
Degree in any discipline along with a good knowledge of computers for Office Assistant,

Degree in any discipline (preference to Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Agriculture Sciences/ Agricultural Engineering/ Information Technology/ Management/ Law/ Economics/ Accountancy students) for Officer Scale II General Banking Officer,

Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (preference will be given to Electronics/ Communication/ Computer Sciences/ Information Technology) for Officer Scale II Specialists Officers

Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture etc. for Officer Scale III posts.

Selection Procedure:

The applicants will be called for a common written exam, also called as the Common Written Exam, through an official application from the website of the IBPS.

The candidates will be short listed on the basis of the TWSS (Total Weighted Standard Score) which takes into consideration the prescribed weights as assigned by the IBPS for each section of the paper on the basis of the scores.
