Ias Exam Educational Qualification
I am pursuing Bsc in biology from MDS University. I am preparing for CSAT Examination. What is the qualification for IAS Examination (CSAT). Please provide me detailed information about this topic?

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Civil Services Exam every year to recruit the officers in Indian Administrative Services, Indian Police Services and Indian Forest Services and other Central Civil Services. Minimum Qualification Any Graduation degree from: Any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification. One waiting for the result of their graduation exam is eligible for IAS Prelims exam but will have to present the degree at the time of appearing for IAS Main Exam. One with professional and technical degrees as recognized by Government of India will also be eligible to appear for IAS Exam. IAS will provisionally admit candidate with professional MBBS degree or candidate who has passed any other medical examination but has not completed internship. This is applicable only if one submits a copy of certificate from the concerned authority of the University/ Institution along with the IAS online Application. Nationality One must be a citizen of India to be eligible for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), for other services, a candidate must be either: A citizen of India, Or a subject of Nepal, Or a subject of Bhutan, Or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, Or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (c), (d), (e) and (f) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Provided further that candidates belonging to categories (c), (d) (e) and (f) above will not be eligible for appointment to the Indian Foreign Service Age Criteria and Relaxation 21 years is the minimum age limit for IAS aspirants.
