Indian Administrative Service exam is one of the highest designations offered by the Indian Government. IAS conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Eligibility; Qualification The Aspirants must hold Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline from the recognized University/Institution. The Candidates who are in the final year examination or waiting for their final year result may apply for Civil Services Preliminary Examination. But candidates must have to produce final result for appear in Civil Services Main Examination. Age limit: Age limitations of the candidate should between 21 to 30 years as on 1st August of the year of exam. Nationality For the IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), a candidate must be a citizen of India. Number of attempts: For General: 4 times For OBC: 7 times For SC/ST: Till 35 yrs of age |

Candidate must have passed bachelor’s degree in any field from recognized university. The candidate should be physically and medically capable. Age limit: Age should be between 21 to 30 years IAS Preliminary Paper I Syllabus Current events of national and international importance. History of India and Indian National Movement. Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc. Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World. Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc. General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization. General Science.
