Ian Watson started his Truck Driving School in 1989 in response to the high numbers of persons in the North Brisbane area wanting to get a truck license with the help of a local truck driving school. With a HR licence one can drive an MR vehicle, a bus or truck (including a prime mover or a mobile crane) over 8t GVM with more than 2 axles. One can also tow a trailer with maximum weight of 9t GVM. One can also drive an articulated bus (a bus that can bend in the middle).

HEAVY RIGID ~ HR DRIVER TRAINING, COURSES and DRIVING TEST OPTIONS:
$115 per hour for driving sessions
$345 for TEST as well as 1hr lesson prior to test
HR Roadranger Package Deal per Course HR-12 ~ 10hrs training + test = $1,290*
HR Synchromesh Package Deal per Course HR-8 ~ 6hrs training + test = $870**
HR Automatic Package Deal per Course HR-7 ~ 5hrs training + test = $765**
